A loyal fan base just keeps on growing as a new generation of music lovers takes the opportunity to hear their favourites performed live!

'A superb show' (Jim Jenkins, Queen Biographer).

Queen: A Kind Of Magic, Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline

The atmosphere was evident in the theatre's café bar even before the Performance: Carnegie Hall had sold out and the crowd assembling for pre-performance drinks were enthusiastic.

Not a lookalike group Magic concentrate on recreating the sound, spirit and atmosphere of Freddie Mercury’s supergroup, aided by spectacular lighting, smoke and background projected images of Queen In action.

They started off sedately, settling everyone with A Kind of Magic, moving through favourites like Bicycle, Keep Yourself Alive to that big old crowd pleaser Killer Queen. By the time they got to I Want To Break Free, fans were bobbing in their seats.

Part two kicked off with I want to break free! later, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Queen’s first hit, which reached number ten and got hem on Top of the Pops. A succession of old medleys and old favourites led to the finale, Bohemian Rhapsody.

For this the stage was drenched in blood-red light and lupine howls rose from the auditorium: the fans were letting rip. But that was nothing to when the special effects kicked in: fire, smoke, sparks; the very stuff of Beelzebub as lead singer Roger Brown threw his soul into performing and the crowd wanted it all.

They wanted an encore too, and got one. Arguablysaving the best’til last, Magic belted out Barcelona, We Will Rock You, Radio Ga Ga and We Are The Champions as the crowd jumped around in the aisles.
